The Science Behind Ultrapure®

HOCl is the molecule. Ultrapure® is the technology that elevates how that molecule is delivered.

Your body already knows HOCl.

Hypochlorous acid is part of the mammal body’s innate immune defence. During the oxidative burst, white blood cells generate HOCl to rapidly neutralise harmful pathogens.

That combination of antimicrobial power and biological compatibility is what makes HOCl so remarkable.

But producing HOCl is only part of the science. The challenge is reproducing that molecule outside the body in a form that remains pure, stable and consistent over time.

That is where Ultrapure® begins.

Not all HOCl is the same

Seeing “HOCl” on a product label doesn’t tell you the whole story. Two formulations containing the same molecule can differ significantly in purity, pH, stability and what else remains in the solution. Those differences affect how the formulation performs and why two different HOCL products can produce significantly different clinical outcomes.

pH matters because it influences which form of active chlorine is present. Ultrapure® is formulated at an optimised pH that keeps the active chlorine predominantly in the HOCl form - the form that more readily penetrates and disrupts microbes. As pH rises, more HOCl converts to hypochlorite (OCl⁻), which is less microbially active.

Conventional HOCl formulations use salts or buffering agents such as bicarbonate to help control pH or stability, and may also contain hypochlorite and other by-products.

Ultrapure® was developed to overcome these limitations. Our patented technology produces 99.99% pure HOCl with an optimised pH and exceptional stability, without salt stabilisers or hypochlorite impurities.

Same molecule. A very different standard.

    Broad-Spectrum Protection

Acts against bacteria, viruses and fungi, while also helping to modulate excessive inflammatory responses,  supporting a cleaner, calmer environment for tissue recovery.

    24-Month Stability

Engineered to maintain its purity, potency and antimicrobial performance for up to 24 months from the date of manufacture, overcoming one of HOCl’s biggest natural limitations: instability over time.

    Biocompatible and Non-Toxic

Designed to target harmful microbes without damaging healthy cells involved in repair and recovery, making Ultrapure® suitable for sensitive tissue and repeated use.

      1. Reaches the microbe

HOCl is electrically neutral, allowing it to reach and penetrate microbial barriers quickly.

    • check_circle

      2. Disrupts it

Once in contact, HOCl oxidises essential proteins, membranes and enzymes, disrupting the systems the microbe needs to survive.

      3. Leaves healthy tissue unharmed

The antimicrobial reaction happens rapidly, while Ultrapure® remains biocompatible and non-cytotoxic to healthy cells.

      Purity Changes Performance.

Ultrapure® HOCL delivers verified 99.99% pure hypochlorous acid through our patented stabilization process. No salt stabilisers. No hypochlorite impurities. Just high-purity HOCL engineered for consistent potency and long-term stability.

      Patented for Stability

HOCl is naturally unstable. Over time, it can lose potency as the molecule breaks down which is one of the biggest challenges in conventional HOCl formulations.

Ultrapure® was engineered to solve that problem. Our patented stabilisation technology maintains the purity and antimicrobial potency of the formulation for up to 24 MONTHS from the date of manufacture.

      Stability That Lasts

Ultrapure® HOCL is engineered for exceptional stability, maintaining verified potency for up to 24 months. While many HOCL solutions degrade rapidly, our patented stabilization process preserves purity and performance without refrigeration or harsh additives.

      The Science, Answered.

      question_mark

Is HOCL just another form of bleach?

No. HOCl and sodium hypochlorite are different chemical species. Traditional bleach-based solutions use sodium hypochlorite, which forms some HOCl when diluted in water, alongside hypochlorite and other components.

Ultrapure® delivers highly purified HOCl directly, without hypochlorite impurities or salt stabilisers or buffers.

No. Seeing “HOCl” on a label only tells you the active molecule. Two products can both contain HOCl and give very different results.

Purity, pH, stability and the presence of other compounds all influence how much of that active HOCl is available, how long it remains effective and how suitable the formulation is for sensitive tissue.

Ultrapure® is engineered around those variables combining 99.99% purity, optimised pH and patented stability in one proprietary technology.

HOCl is naturally unstable and gradually loses potency over time.

Ultrapure® was developed to overcome this limitation. Its patented technology, high purity and tightly controlled formulation allow it to remain stable for up to 24 months from the date of manufacture, without relying on salt stabilisers or bicarbonate buffers.

HOCl is part of the body’s own immune defence. White blood cells naturally produce it to help neutralise harmful microbes.

Ultrapure® uses this same antimicrobial molecule in a highly purified, biocompatible formulation. It disrupts the structures microbes need to survive while remaining non-cytotoxic to healthy tissue
